Starting a dream

"Whenever he passed in front of the company, Humberto used to say that one day he would be part of the institution, dreaming of making it prosper", says Regina Ghisoni Bortoluzzi (wife). In 1982, Mr. Humberto Ghizzo Bortoluzzi buys the factory Pisos Tubarão, beginning its successful path.

Great visionary

Considered a great visionary, Humberto not only sought improvements for the company, but also idealized a great progress for the city of Tubarão, where company is located.

1989

Regional outstanding

Since the beginning the main goals of Pisos Tubarão were to bring quality and satisfaction to customers. And it was participating of fairs and events that the brand gained space in the market.

1991

New business profile

In search of increasing evolution, in 1991 the new profile of the company was presented. With the purpose of producing high-quality tiles, the re-adaptation of the industrial park and investments in technologies became necessary for this new stage. As a representation of this change, the old brand gives way to Itagres Revestimentos Cerâmicos.

1996

Sociocultural Actions

We believe that is only possible to build a better country with education and culture, and with these principles that Itagres in 1996 announced a partnership with the play "Amândio bem amado" by Reginaldo Faria. As well, giving tiles to the Ayrton Senna Institute.

1999

Loss

In 1999, the protagonist and founder of Itagres passes away. His absence leaves the City and political leaders bereaved. But his example and strength served as inspiration for his legacy to continue.

2000

Watershed

In October 2000, the new manufacturing complex was inaugurated. Destined for the production of high standard ceramic tiles and with a technology recently arrived in country, comes up the Lumière collection.

2001

Lumière

The success of Lumière collection was reflected in the advertising campaigns made. Being a pioneer in vitrified tiles, Itagres gained national recognition with its high standard products.

Internacional

Expanding its market share, Itagres starts to export to several countries, consolidating the brand in international exhibitions.

With the evolution of the company, and the needs of changes gradually appearing due to new products, a re-adaptation of its visual identity was necessary.

Technological progress

Implemented with Full HD (High Definition) technology, Itagres was one of the first companies to produce porcelain tiles with high definition digital printing (Inkjet), bringing infinite design possibilities to its products.

With High Definition innovation, collections have gained new colors and unique designs. At Expo Revestir 2012, the wood look porcelain tiles have become even closer to the real woods, proving that there is no limit to creativity. Increasingly identical, enchanting and giving life to the ambiances.

Great achievement

Since the 1980s, Humberto dreamed of seeing the city growing economically. Not just as an entrepreneur, but being a leader of many causes for the population. In 2015 the Humberto Ghizzo Bortoluzzi Regional Airport is inaugurated, in honor of those who have struggled so hard for this achievement to happen.
